Storage & Handling
Storage: Store below 30°C (86°F). Keep away from direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate.
Single use only: Do not reuse or resterilize. Discard after use. Do not use if packaging is damaged or seal is broken.
Handling caution: DERMABOND ADVANCED is a fast-setting adhesive that will bond to most biological tissue and many surfaces on contact. Avoid inadvertent contact with gloves, instruments, or tissue outside the wound area. Acetone or similar solvents may be used to clean non-disposable surfaces. Do not apply to wet wounds.
Eye precaution: Do not apply near the eye without appropriate barrier protection. If ocular contact occurs, flush with saline or water.

What wounds is Dermabond Advanced indicated for?
It is indicated for closure of surgical incisions and traumatic lacerations where sutures would otherwise be used, in cases where the wound edges can be held together without tension.
How does the dual-mode applicator work?
The applicator tip can deliver adhesive in either a broader wide-line bead (for longer incisions) or a controlled fine-line application (for narrow or facial wounds). Mode selection is controlled by applicator pressure and orientation.
What is the microbial barrier claim?

Can it be used on the face?
Yes, with precautions. When closing facial wounds near the eye, position the patient so runoff is directed away from the eye, and use petroleum jelly as a mechanical barrier on adjacent skin areas where adhesion is not desired.
