The SCoV-2 Ag Detect Rapid Self-Test utilizes lateral flow immunoassay technology to detect nucleocapsid protein antigen from the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Each kit contains everything needed for two complete tests, including single-use test devices, dropper bottles, and nasal swabs with clear instructions for proper use.
Authorized for Home Use
This test is authorized for non-prescription home use with self-collected anterior nasal swab samples. It is suitable for individuals aged 14 or older for self-collection, or for adult-collected samples from individuals aged 2 years or older.
Testing Guidelines
- For symptomatic individuals: Test within first 5 days of symptom onset, at least twice over three days with 48 hours between tests
- For asymptomatic individuals: Test at least three times over five days with 48 hours between tests
- All results should be interpreted in clinical context with patient history
Positive results indicate the presence of viral antigens and should prompt self-isolation and follow-up care. Negative results are presumptive and do not rule out SARS-CoV-2 infection. Always consult healthcare providers for proper diagnosis and treatment decisions.
