How is this different from a condom catheter?
The SoftFlex Pouch uses a flat adhesive skin barrier instead of a sheath that rolls over the anatomy. This can be more comfortable for men who find condom catheters too tight, too loose, or who experience skin irritation from sheath adhesives. It is an external device - no tube enters the body.
How do I size the cut-to-fit opening?
Measure the anatomy and cut the barrier opening to match, leaving about 1/8 inch clearance around the skin. The flexible SoftFlex barrier will conform to your shape. A proper fit prevents leaks and skin irritation. Your clinician or ostomy nurse can help with initial sizing.
Can this be used overnight?
Yes. Connect the universal drain outlet to a bedside drainage bag for overnight collection. This allows continuous drainage without waking to empty the pouch. Disconnect and drain the pouch normally during the day.
How often should the pouch be changed?
The SoftFlex Pouch is designed for single-day use. Change daily or as directed by your healthcare provider. If you experience leaking, skin irritation, or adhesive lifting before the scheduled change, replace it sooner. Always clean and dry the skin before applying a new pouch.
Is this product latex-free?
